California State University, East Bay has notified individuals of a data breach that has occurred on August 11, 2014 when the University discovered unauthorized access to individuals information when an overseas IP address appears to have used a software tool designed to access information on a server without being detected. The server targeted contained personal information on various employment record transactions and some extended learning course information. The specific information breached included names, addresses, Social Security Numbers and dates of birth. The University has set up 12 months free of Experian's ProtectMyID for those affected.
