Point Park University - 05/03/2014

On Wednesday March 5, 2014 Point Park University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania notified employees of a possible data breach that included names, home addresses, Social Security numbers, wage information, birthdates, bank accounts and routing numbers.The Point Park President stated that as many as 1,800 employees could have been affected by this breach."The university was expecting a package from its payroll processing vendor Ceridian, but when the package arrived to campus it was missing all of the accompanying reports, according to an internal email obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette."The university is working with authorities and an investigation has been launched. The law firm that represents the university is currently putting a letter together to those who were affected that will include call-center information and other services offered.
